DOODLES TWO
Rebirth

A somewhat more personal take on the process of transformation, conceived on a cold January night where the only warm place I could find was my bed. I love winter dream time.

The boy robins have returned to scope out real estate for their ladies fair who shall come later, ready to nest. Come late January I hear the boys singing in the trees who welcome the guys with open branches. I love trees, have for as long as I can remember, and have doodled many. This is my latest.

I do love the Bird Tree and imagine bird song now, as I sit behind the computer in the wee hours of the morning.
We have no birds twittering here yet, but all of that will happen soon in the springtime and we will all be jolly for it.
So, an early good morning to you and I hope you have a wonderful Sunday.
Hi Sue,
Warm beds can be great! I particularly like rebirth.

There are few sights and sound that match male robin in very early spring - the breast feathers are a dark, so rich, brick red and it would be utterly sublime sight if it were far rarer - thus uncessarily more precious.
The robin's song is repetitious yet it has a nostalgic quality matched only by the alive blue tint of a robon's discarded egg shells.
Thank you Sue, your doodles are a delight.
Sue, I lived in California for 22 years and both my children were born there. I used to be married to an American, but now I am married to a Dutch man who used to be my high school sweetheart. My daughter lives in Texas and my son died three years ago from cancer. I never go to California anymore now, although I still have friends there that I am in contact with. I really miss Sonoma and San Francisco and at first I had a hard time being back in the Netherlands. Now I am completely Dutch again.
I love your doodles. And I am so completely delighted by the tree and bird doodle. I'm glad you posted this for us to enjoy.
I really enjoy your doodles. Am also a tree and bird lover. We are fortunate to have many wonderful bird species in our backyard. Lovely reflective post.
Hi Sue, in my effort to collaborate, I have taken some of your mandalas and other images to alter, although it is possible that they are so good, that nothing will come of it.
If you object, please let me know. I would hate to be caught manipulating other people's work when they don't like that.
I have also stolen from John Mora and Lisa Sarsfield and The Artful Eye.
Wow! The bird tree is my favorite too. The little birds are like jewels shining in the tree. I love your doodles, they get more and more delightful as you go.
I just love your bird tree!!!
