SUNDAY SYNERGY

I loved this Sunday Play Date. Never mind I've been playing all weekend with John Mora's rendition of my photo of egret at the marsh

I converted his cave painting into a colorful fabric quilt by using a simple hue/saturation adjustment layer and cranking the colors up loud

When I play with John's imagery I like to make one mandala simply from his patternings, which lend themselves so well to my own geometric reinterpretations. Bird head becomes bird he.art. This could be a very fancy kind of embroidered badge. Girl Scouts would be envious. Ha!

Exploring more of John's quilting revealed a sort of stained glass abstraction

But when I overlayed the image above with a mandala created from a wild purple aster...voila!

A question was raised about taking art from my blog for the purpose of collaboration. The art that I make in cahoots with John Mora is available for your own interpretation. The rest is not. Please and thank you. The Management.

On another note, I really do intend to offer up more Photoshop tutorials in the near future. What would you like me to write about?

Sue- I am mesmorized. First place I stopped this morning and it was just what I needed to kickstart the day.

This fabric quilt is so vibrant and has so much depth it reminds me of a Tiffany window.

I can visualize these mandalas as windows in the Sacre Coeur and the Sunburst Mandala has so many optical illusions. Your eye is drawn down into the center.

Simply magnificent.

Hi Sue, the message regarding the images is clear and understood. Your unique work does need to be protected. It was presumptuous of me to think I could just play with it. I will not.

In the meantime, I am playing with the other stuff and having a blast with that. Lisa's, John's and Andrea's. It always nice to find detailed and colored images to work with, as you well know.

Have a great day, ciao...

These are just remarkable - I am amazed and just blown away by the first and third in particular.

YOu have an amazing talent and "simply magnificent" is apt description.

The birds must be singing in your yard right now.

Somehow my work computer pulled up your old post page and I did not see see this post until I got home....need to refresh.

Simply inspiring....my best.

BTW, coldest day of the winter season in NYC today - minus 4 degrees F this morning based on wind chill.
