I NEED YOUR HELP WITH A NAME

This image was a bit of an experiment and needs a title. Would you like to help me name it?
Oh, and what do you think the source image was? (I will reveal all in a future post)

What I liked best about creating this image was making the brush used in the patterning surrounding the mandala. Once you get the hang of it, making brushes in Photoshop is really a lot of fun. If you are interested in learning how, I found this tutorial by Veerle really helpful.

So what shall I name this?

It looks sort of fiery and reminds me of an animal - a zebra or something smaller and more slithery with segments. I don't know, but it's intriguing :-)

"Chocolate Ripple" because it looks delicious! :)

It looks like you used an insect of some sort. If that's the case, then I think the name "We will live forever" or "We will live on" (something to that effect) because not only do insects rule the earth...but your mandala's always have such a nice spiritual nature to them that I think will live on...they always seem like a continuation of the life cycle to me. Just my thoughts... :) Happy Wednesday!

Wow - I totally get a woman (well, several), and a shield: Shield of the Morrigan (who is a celtic goddess possibly connected back to megalithic goddesses, and is goddess of death and rebirth ). her symbol is a crow (you were just getting to her with the previously posted Crow Caw) is my first go at it. There's also a creature between the women that looks like a demonic rabbit that also appears in an oil I have from just outside of New Orleans - very voodooish - so perhaps one of the Voudon goddesses: Erzuli Frida.

The moment I saw it I thought "Birth". Whether it is the birth of a human or of your creativity, birth it!

My first impulse was Africa. It feels primal, like the first life on the African plains. Lovely mandala!
My choice of name would be 'Beginning in Africa'

I saw women too, and the dark ones reminded me of Kachina dolls. There are strong amazon type women in the white sections as well. Lots of wave action in this mandala. Morrigan born from the waves? Maybe that's too derivative. Once again I see maiden, matron and crone energy in this mandala.

I haven't got a clue what the source is, although I agree with Miriam, it looks like it came from an insect. I sort of thought scorpion for a minute too.

I would call this Spirit Woman, as it reminds me a shaman woman with a quilled breastplate.

Well, I've seen the post after this one, but did see this and not comment. I kept thinking of cross cuts of folded paper for the background, and something vegetable like for the mandala itself. It also made me think of "Flower Star" as a title.

I love the colors, and the variations in textures and focus. Beautiful.
