Winter Solstice 2007 (Dec 21/22 depending on your time zone) is World Peace Day. You can read more about it here

Beautiful star, Sue. I love the colors and the poem that goes along with it. I did not know about World Peace Day but will be sure to pray for peace in celebration of the intent of the day :)

Thankyou for your comment in my blog Sue.

I too am a "Mandalian" and I am wondering if you also know about the "Mandorla".

I wrote about it in my "About me" section of my blog.

Another spectacular mandala, Sue. Perfectly selected for the Day as well.

Nor did I know about World Peace Day. I'll be adding my fervent prayers. Thank you for posting that. Hope you won't mind if I post a link too on my blog tomorrow.

Lovely mandala. Just come from Debi's blog. It looks a mythical and ancient star in keeping with the theme of the solstice, which has ancient connotations, apart from the sacred associations of the mandala, of course.
