Dancing the Dream Mandala

Dancing the Dream Mandala (Power Shield Series) © Sue O'Kieffe 2011

Dream, the voice whispered, and cautiously they opened their hearts, a little at a time. The drumbeats started, and soon they were one with the healing  the drumbeats offered.
Dance, the voice encouraged. The drumbeats carried them, and their hearts opened wider while their feet stomped and caressed the earth.
Feel, the voice offered, and Love burst forth as bright as the stars and deep as the seas. And they knew they were safe to feel everything their hearts desired.
And they danced all night to the sound of the drums and the stars and the ocean waves, and they  remembered forever who they were.

Bright blessings,
Sue O'Kieffe

As soon as I laid eyes on this I started to hear the drumbeats.
And then I saw you painting power designs on shields in a past life!

Seems so aboriginal in essence, I too could sense the drum beats in the distance, hear the drone of a digiridoo.

I am appreciative of all your comments.
Julie, I am aware somewhat of that lifetime of creating power shields and I am grateful for that validation.
Ellie - yes, I felt the aboriginal connection too and long fires burning deep into the night
Connie - bestest is high praise. thank you.
Kay - you grok it. thank you ♥

Oh yes, the long fires! I felt that too! And something breathy, like different rhythms of in and out breaths is part of the dance. The breath is kind of hot - maybe smoking something.

This is beautiful and the words are so moving.

The past few months I've been enjoying hand drawing mandalas. Today I bought some new paints to attempt to paint my mandalas on canvas.

Kat :-)
