I loved making these drawings. I promised myself no pressure in this challenge from Art Every Day Month , and I did find them a satisfying way to unwind after what was an intense week at work. I think my inner world is definitely reflected here. I could say lots and lots, but I'd rather hear what you have to say. My digital ears are wide open!

Neda of Papiers Colles tagged me and here are my answers:

Hi Sue,
I like your drawings a lot. They are playful, and look to me like they are part of a much bigger machine or picture. Though I don't miss what's not seen, I can imagine it, and I like being able to do that. My eyes can play.

I learned something just now writing this: I realized that I don't need to give it all away in a painting!

Fun questionaire too!

Hi Sue,
First of all, thanks so much for your question about the perle cotton thread written about in my post. I've begun to do research and have discovered that this thread can stretch if weighed down by too many beads. Hopefully, the bracelet should be ok because it's lighter than a necklace. I'm going to start experimenting with other threads that are just as supple but with more durability.
I can see that your drawings are from a deep place. Very improvisional.
Hmmm, "Distraction", "Busyness" but amidst both - "Inspiration". It sounds like you are trying to find balance. "Inspiration" is the happiest image, I think.
I'm guessing that you don't know how to yodel? :-)

I love these drawings, Sue. They are so colorful and take one on such a surprise trip :) I like them because even though they have titles like busyness and distraction, they seem to have an element of stopping and enjoying the moment and of hope.

I'd have to say that you could not yodel, but that you should learn because I'd love to see a yodeling clown :)

Thanks for playing, Sue. I almost fell of my chair I was laughing so hard. And I remember the spirographs! Wow! I think yodelling is not your forte but then again, you always surprise us with your talents :) I love these new freehand drawings! Keep going!

I very much like your drawings. They show that you are a true artist and that your talent not only lies in making beautiful mandalas. You really know about color and shape and balance, although we should have known that.
